Shops

When the main means of transport was the carriers cart, most villages like Ickleton included a range of local shops and services. Although the railway arrived in the mid-nineteenth century, it has only been in recent decades that this situation has truly reversed including a period in the 1980s when Ickleton had no shop at all

This collection, features a number of locations which have at one time accommodated these village businesses.
