Fieldwalking
The Cambridge Archaeology and Fieldwalking group walked Mash Field and Footpath Field at Abbey Farm from January to March 2020 until the COVID-19 outbreak brought a halt to things for a time. In 2022 they resumed, walking the field opposite the allotments. These photos show some of the finds. Our local fields are scattered with broken pieces of flint but, in spite of this, you will see that the group found a number of worked flints along with other items.
