Village Hall 1999 - construction and opening The old school in Frogge Street had been used as a village hall for some 30 years, but by the 90's was felt to be too small. At the time it was also in somewhat poor repair. Funding for a new hall was obtained from the National Lottery Sports Council in conjunction with the proceeds from the sale of the old school. Building operations commenced in 1999 to a design created in conjunction with the South Cambs Architects department. The project was commenced in January 1999 and the new hall officially opened in November of that year. The work was executed by Cocksedge's builders and overseen by a small VH Committee working group in conjunction with the Architects.Thumbnail:
