Silver Jubilee Celebrations, 1977

The Queens's silver jubilee in June 1977 was celebrated in the village in some style. Dressed wagons were devised and produced amidst great secrecy by each street. Although the day turned out to be a freezing cold one for June, the wagons were paraded around the village, followed by judging and an excellent barbecue on the rec.
